I’ve a lot of things running through my mind.
1) DJ Alaska. I think I’ve been getting alot of questions on the story/inspiration behind the stage name. It all started with my love for the Alaskan Malamut/ Huskies. And then I realised that it’s such a breathtaking place that so many has heard of, but little has experienced. I then decided that I want to bring “Alaska” to people. I want to be that breath of fresh air they’ve been craving so long and hard for, but have been unable to reach out and grasp hold of.
But then, while talking to a certain someone today. I realised I’ve slowly embodied the name Alaska. Cold, numbed, hard, far, risky, cold, numbed, numbed, numbed.
I’m a sad old soul you know? Because even though I believe in love. I don’t believe my heart’s young and childlike enough to experience the much hyped-about four letter word starting with the alphabet “L”.
It’s not that I’ve a wall or anything. But because I’m so afraid of hurting and being that vulnerable girl who’s always finding some way to cry about something and someone, I hardened my heart. So much so, I’m protected. But I’m no more free.
No one holds the power to hurt me anymore. Not the one guy I loved in this life. Not anyone. Not anymore.
I can’t even remember the last time I cried.
It’s not that I don’t care.
It’s that my mind retains happier things, shoves out the heartaching ones, and rewinds to what’s safest and the basics - me.
That’s my mantra.
Take good care of yourself. Love yourself. Understand yourself. Find yourself. Create yourself.
FIRST.
Then when you become whole enough, you’d be ready for that other wholesome half (:
Am I happier? I don’t know. But it beats being emotional and vulnerable all the time.
2) If you realise, I don’t really blog about work anymore. It’s kind of my part in keeping professional. I wouldn’t wanna get into trouble and, yes. Just a fun fact: Amazing wordpress can track what you typed in search engines to get to my blog. Just the other day. I’ve got 7 incoming that typed in my name and ps cafe. :/ Are the management digging dirt on me? haha. I wouldn’t know but I wouldn’t want to take that risk.
I think I’m hitting a plateau though. I don’t know why. Maybe I’m getting too used to “you” being around. Thus when you’re not, things aren’t that =)). I need to hit the refresh button on my forehead.
3) I’m not going to say much about the partying madness I had with the best friend. Because words will kill the mindblowing night we had. All I’m saying is that the 8 of us kicked ass on the dancefloor. And to that certain someone: you’re gorgeous. I’m a bad influence, really. :( mommmies, keep your little kids awayayayaa from me! cough.
I’ve so much more to type. But if you’re anything like me. I hate wordy posts. So I’d type more tomorrow. I’m a little glazy-eyed.
